Two irregular patches of sweat started to form on his back, no doubt generated by the intensity and exertion of his physical movements to remove the sand from his body.They are emblematic of the body’s internal processes, distinct from the body’s visible and often intentional actions and movements that are available to others. The marking indicated those ongoing silent biological processes that reveal themselves infrequently (2).
